"And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people."
?
Most verses like this, I believe, are easily explained by knowing the difference between aion, etc, and 'forever'.. And some of course, is in the Greek in other ways.
But this one, I'm wondering if it might not be that it is truly the very real potential. In the 'end' if there's a soul (psyche) "who will not hear that Prophet" they shall indeed "be utterly destroyed from among the people".
But! ....All will come to believe and "hear".. Once one is free to take into account all pertaining scriptures and the overall BiG picture, this seems to be the logical meaning.
Hi Marie Glen!
ReplyDeleteI am just posting this for the third time because I am really hoping that you will get a chance to read it. I really need more people like you to talk with and I am sorry if this is annoying.
I remember seeing you on the Tentmaker forum. I really enjoy reading your forum posts and I have just discovered your blogs and I am learning a lot. I have never joined the forum on Tentmaker but I was hoping to join now. Unfortunately, when I bring up the forum nothing comes up and in fact when I go to any web page on Tentmaker I can barely bring up any article. I was wondering if you had the same problem with the site as well. I know you would post regularly along with other moderators like Eaglesways, Cardinal, Jabcat and others. I was wondering if you knew what happened to the site and if no one can use it, do you know of any other discussion sites and forums about Christian universalism. I would like to contact you if that is fine with you. I am going through a difficult period spiritually in my life and I really need people to talk with who believe in this. I knew you had a blog whereas all of the other moderators and everyone else did not have one. I am not sure how I could contact them but I would like to talk with them also. I hope you will respond to me. My username is Egidia. Thank you for your time.
